Shell’s Sacramento Hydrogen Station Opens – 40th in the State

November 27th, 2019 by Fiedler Group

As reported by California Fuel Cell Partnership, Shell Oil® working in partnership with the California Energy Commission, is in the midst of a seven-station development program in Northern California.

These first-of-their-kind stations will bring the latest in Hydrogen Fueling Technology to excited owners of Fuel Cell powered vehicles in the Sacramento and Bay areas. The second of these stations to open to the public is at 3510 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95864. We are excited to be a part of this great development for the State of California.

This Sacramento area project represents one of six facilities that Fiedler Group has designed, permitted, and managed construction for Shell. Featuring two fully independent Hydrogen fuel dispensers, this facility can fuel passenger vehicles with some of the most advanced technology available today. The dispensers are positioned under the existing gasoline canopy, providing a seamless and convenient availability of fuel to customers. Equipment and critical technology is provided by NEL Hydrogen®, partnered with an exceptional customer experience we have come to expect from Shell.

Fiedler Group obtained permits and completed construction on this facility ahead of the twenty-month timeframe established by the California Energy Commission.

Construction of this new hydrogen fuel station was provided by Fastech Inc. headquartered in Buena Park, California.
