Kroger Releases Few Details About New Urban Fresh Market Concept

January 5th, 2016 by Fiedler Group

Kroger is expanding on its existing organic selections with a new store concept called Main & Vine.

The new store — set to open in the Seattle-area town of Gig Harbor — will focus on fresh produce, food preparation tips, and high-quality prepared foods.

While Kroger has not yet released details about its concept, it is expected to offer local produce, meats, as well as local craft beers and wines.

Kroger may offer select home delivery services, which is a concept the company has experimented with.

The grocery chain has over 2,700 stores in the United States, with 119 supermarkets located in Washington state.

The Main & Vine concept may be a smaller format market that will find its place more in urban environment locations.
