November 29th, 2016 by Fiedler Group

Earlier this month Fred Meyer opened its newest Washington retail fueling facility.

Nestled within the new 34 acre Happy Valley Crossroads development is Fred Meyer’s newest fuel center.

The new gasoline station, located at 13163 S. E. 172nd Ave.in Happy Valley at the northwest corner of the intersection of Sunnyside Road and 172nd Ave. is part of Gramor Development most recent project which includes a new 144,000 sq. ft. Fred Meyer store, an additional 40,000 sq. ft. in retail shops and restaurants, and a 168 unit, 14.5 acre apartment complex.

The new Fred Meyer store is the company’s 52nd Oregon store.  Reportedly, the store and fuel center, which includes a 10,300 square foot fueling canopy, a 240 square foot prefabricated kiosk, eight  fuel dispensers, and two underground storage tanks, will bring over 200 new jobs to the area.

The Happy Valley Crossroads development features a modern architectural feel, with trees, plazas and pedestrian access.  Consistent with the development standards, the fuel station canopy design elements include a standing seam metal roof and ACM  fascia.  The kiosk finishes include cultured stone wainscot, hardiepanel  siding and stucco cornice.  The color palette includes natural or earth tones which complement the overall development.

Fiedler Group worked closely with the Gramor development team to provide the site adapt civil design, architectural, electrical and fuel design required for the project development.

Expedited permitting services were also provided by Fiedler Group, which included obtaining approvals from City of Happy Valley Building Department, Clackamas County Development Services, Clackamas County Water Environmental Services, and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality,
